Swale Youth Development Fund helps talented young people to flourish by doing what they love.
We believe that when a young person is good at something and loves doing it, they should be able to go as far as their ability and determination will take them. We also know that the world will throw lots of obstacles in the way - one of those obstacles is financial cost. And that’s where we come in. We can provide funding to help with the big expenses (like travel or equipment) and allow that brilliant young person to focus on their own development.

Any questions?
-
Anyone who is aged 21 or younger and lives in the Borough of Swale. The application must be received by our Secretary before the applicant’s 22nd birthday.
-
Almost anything! If it’s creative, athletic or educational then we’ll consider it.
-
No, regrettably we can’t fund education expenses.
-
That depends on what you need the money for. In recent years grants have tended to be between £50 and £750 but, in special cases, bursaries up to £2,000 could be awarded.
-
No, but there might be occasions when a grant comes with conditions attached.
-
Yes, but on a repeat application you will need to provide proof of improvement since your previous application. We’re more likely to approve a repeat application if you have made an effort to seek additional support elsewhere. We’ll normally consider only one application per person per year.
-
Trustees meet four times a year: January, April, July and October. For an application to be assessed at a particular meeting it must be received by the first day of that month.
-
Click the Apply For Funding button above and complete the application form. If you’re under 14 then your parent or guardian will need to sign the application.
