Ollie Scott

Ollie found triathlon just two short years ago but has already achieved a world ranking at the age of 15. Developing within the Triathlon England Academy programme, Ollie trains ten times a week (combining strength & conditioning, swimming, cycling and running) with Canterbury Endurance, MedwayTri and Canterbury Academy (his school).

In para triathlon athletes are sorted according to disability classification alone, regardless of age, which presents a challenge for Ollie as an athlete who is relatively young and inexperienced. This year Ollie has shown that he is more than equal to that challenge, winning silver in his first Para Triathlon Super Series and finishing 3rd at the Para Triathlon National Championships.

Ollie’s long-term ambition is to be selected for the 2028 or 2032 Paralympic Games. In the meantime he plans to progress to the next generation programme when he turns 18yrs, to win the Super Series and to start racing internationally in 2025.

Funding from Swale Youth Development Fund has helped Ollie to purchase a new road bike built with necessary adaptations (like the special prosthesis pictured above).
